Our commitment to accessibility

Get NZ Visa Ready belongs to Ava Sanchez Neal and is licensed for commercial use to VisaPlex. © 2025 VisaPlex / Ava Sanchez Neal. We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

Measures we take to support accessibility

  • Use semantic HTML, logical headings, landmarks, and appropriate ARIA.
  • Provide meaningful alternative text for images; mark decorative images appropriately.
  • Ensure keyboard navigability, a "Skip to main content" link, and visible focus indicators.
  • Provide captions and transcripts for media wherever applicable.
  • Maintain sufficient color contrast and respect user preferences (e.g., reduced motion).
  • Test with automated tools (axe/Lighthouse) and manual checks (keyboard + screen reader).
  • Document accessibility in our design/development workflow and fix issues as part of regular releases.

Conformance status

We aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. Some areas may not yet fully conform; we are working to improve them.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

This website is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and common assistive technologies such as VoiceOver and NVDA. Older browsers or uncommon assistive tools may not provide an optimal experience.

Known limitations & areas for improvement

  • Legacy images or background visuals may lack ideal alternative text.
  • Third-party embeds or widgets might not fully support accessibility features.
  • Complex interactive components can present edge cases (e.g., focus management).
  • Some downloadable documents may not be fully accessible; we can provide alternative formats on request.

We actively work to address these issues.

Feedback & alternate formats

If you experience an accessibility barrier or need an alternative format (e.g., large print, audio, easy read), please contact us:

  • Email: info@visaplex.com
  • Please include the page URL, a description of the problem, and the format you need.

We aim to respond within 3 business days.

Evaluation & testing methods

We assess accessibility using a combination of automated scanning and manual testing with keyboard and screen readers. When we identify issues, we prioritise fixes and re-test before release.

We include a "Skip to main content" link at the top of pages so keyboard users can bypass navigation and jump straight to the page's main content.

Escalation & complaints

If you are dissatisfied with our response to an accessibility enquiry, you may be able to contact a relevant oversight body in New Zealand (for example, the Human Rights Commission) with details of your concern and our response.

Approval & updates

This Accessibility Statement was approved by VisaPlex / Ava Sanchez Neal. We review and update this statement at least every 12 months, and sooner if significant changes are made to the site.
